About the Project
Hi, I'm David, an amateur photographer based in Portsmouth, UK. With a passion for both football and film photography, I've decided to combine these interests into a unique project. Join me as I embark on a thrilling photographic journey through the FA Cup, documenting one game from every round using only 35mm film. Welcome to My FA Cup I'm setting out to document one game from every round of the FA Cup, from the scrappy preliminaries to the grand finale at Wembley Stadium. And I'm doing it all with my trusty 35mm film cameras. The Gear I'm keeping it old school with two awesome film cameras: the Olympus OM and the Nikon F80. I'll be using a 28mm, a 50mm, and a zoom lens to get up close and personal with the action. The Goal In a world overflowing with digital images, I’m all about that one shot - the one that stands out, tells a story, and sticks with you. I'm not here for the masses of identical photos; I want to find those golden moments that capture the heart and soul of football. Think raw, think real, think unforgettable. Why the FA Cup? Because it's where dreams come true! It's where tiny clubs get to face off against the giants, and anything can happen. It's about passion, glory, heartbreak, and fairy tales. The FA Cup is pure football magic, and I’m here to bottle some of that magic on film. Find out more about the Cup along with latest news: https://www.thefa.com/competitions/thefacup What to Expect 1.
